Chef Omar Hafidi has had a passion for the culinary arts for as long as he can remember.  He started as a breakfast cook at the flagship Ritz-Carlton: Boston, and within a brief period of time was named the executive chef at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, in charge of all culinary operations.  He was with the Ritz-Carlton organization since 1991 and has worked a variety of kitchen posts in Naples, Fla.; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Seoul, South Korea; San Francisco and, most recently, Half Moon Bay, Calif., his travels have also made him fluent in four languages.  Hafidi supervised 50 cooks and all four restaurants at the St. Louis Ritz-Carlton hotel.

Hafidi, who was born in Casablanca, Morocco, credits much of his success to being exposed to other ways of cooking, culinary experiences and professional training.

Hafidi works tirelessly on his nightly creations but also with his staff.  He knows that a restaurant experience should be more than just food being served.  Attention to detail, prompt and attentive service, along with a relaxed/comfortable environment helps to complete the experience.  His vision is for each guest to leave with memories of the meal along with a feeling of family.

Prior to opening up his own restaurant Omar was most recently the executive chef at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel.   It was the love of his craft along with relationships he developed while at the Chase which allowed him to once again bring his talents to the surface, but this time at his own restaurant in St. Peters, MO.

Omar’s training with world class saucier’s has made sauces one of his signature items along with his exquisite entrée’s and decadent desserts.
